On arrival at Waioti airport of Flores, met and transferred to Flores Sao Resort on the beach side. Rest of the day is yours for leisurely on the beach or hotel.

 

Wake-up call at 03.30 AM for tour to Kelimutu known for spectacular sight of the three colour lakes, distance about 108 km. Hike up about 1.5 km and 127 steps to get to the peak from where you can enjoy viewing Kelimutu’s green, blue and black lakes. A Dutch Geologist discovered Kelimutu in 1914 and at that time the lakes were red, blue and white, and over the years the lakes have continuously changed their colour. Your guide will also tell local belief about these lakes. After enjoying the view and learn from your guide this natural phenomenon trek down to Moni village known for its traditional Lionese houses, stone seats and traditional sacred graveyard. Around noon drive back to Maumere with stops can be made en-route according to local happening. (B, L)

 

Today’s tour is to Wurin village for traditional houses built on stilts over the sea, Ledalero; is a major Catholic Seminary to see collection of local royal families’ old portraits, antique hand-woven clothes, stagedeon fossils, and etc. Also visit Sikka village famous as the center of the traditional Ikat weaving, see and learn about the making process. Before driving back to hotel visit an old Church from the 16^th century. (B, L)
