Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 JAKARTA/ BOGOR/ BANDUNG
Arrival in Jakarta with a morning flight, meet and transfer to Bandung. En-route visit Sunda Kelapa fishers and local merchant’s harbor, Central-National Museum (open daily except Mondays), Bogor Botanical Gardens for its collection of over 10.000 species of tropical flora. Arrive Bandung in late afternoon. Lunch at a local restaurant is included. (L)
 
Day 2 BANDUNG/ TANGKUBAN PERAHU & PADASUKA VILLAGE TOUR
Full-day tour takes you to Tangkuban Perahu crater stands 30 km north of Bandung, Ciater hot spring in the middle of huge tea and clove estates, and Padasuka village to see Angklung bamboo traditional instruments of Bandung, learn about the making process and a short perform by the local. (B, L)
 
Day 3 BANDUNG/ YOGYAKARTA BY TRAIN
Transfer to the railway station for a morning train to Yogyakarta in Central Java. Board on an AC train and enjoy about 8 hours scenic trip to Yogyakarta. On arrival at Yogya’s station, met and transferred to your hotel in Yogyakarta city for overnight. (B, L)
 
Day 4 YOGYAKARTA - BOROBUDUR & YOGYAKARTA CITY TOUR
Tour today to Java’s biggest and most important Buddhist Temple; Borobudur Temple stands majestically about 40 kms northward from the city with stunning view of the surrounding. Visits to the smaller temples nearby will also be included. Afterwards, touring the vibrant and colourful city of Yogya takes you to Sultan Royal Palace, Sonobudoyo museum for its collection of antiques (closed on Monday), Batik home industries, and the silversmith. Day 5 YOGYAKARTA/ MALANG
Depart early from Yogyakarta to Malang, the pretty little town in East Java and was a recreational place during the colonial era. En-route visit the elegant Prambanan Hindu Temple, is a complex of over 200 temples and shrines, covered with wonderful relief depicting the Ramayana episodes. Travel further to Solo for a visit to Mangkunegaran Palace exhibits extensive collection of masks, Wayang Orang costumes, leather and wooden puppets, religious articles and invaluable jewelleries. Visit also the nearby Triwindhu market which is known as centre of antiques. Reach Malang in early evening, overnight at hotel. (B, L)
 
Day 6 MALANG/ TOSARI
Enjoy Malang city sightseeing before continuing the drive to Tosari village in the lower slope of Mt. Bromo well-known for its spectacular sunrise. In Malang visit Dinoyo ceramic centre, Jago Temple, Kidal temple, and Singosari Temple as one of the latest monument erected to Singosari dynasty built in 1304 AD in honor of King Kertanegara; the fifth and the last Singosari King. Day 7 TOSARI – BROMO TOUR/ SURABAYA AIRPORT/ DEPARTURE
A wake-up call for early morning Bromo sunrise tour. Drive up on 4WD Jeep to Mount Penanjakan, viewpoint of the breathtaking sunrise over Mt. Bromo (weather allows). Later, drive down to caldera and on horseback crossing the sea sand, ascending some hundreds steps to reach peak of Bromo, from where you still could see the crater inside constantly belches white sulphurous smoke. Return to hotel for breakfast, shower and a little rest before transferred to the airport of Surabaya for your onward flight. (B)
