Detailed Itinerary
Day 1, Medan/ Parapat/ SAMOSIR ISLAND
On arrival at airport of Medan, greeted by your local tour guide and transferred to Parapat via Tebing, is a scenic drive through rubber, cacao and palm oil plantations. Arrives Parapat, board on a local boat to Samosir Island takes about 45 minutes. Stay overnight at Hotel Silintong Hotel on Samosir Island. Dinner will be provided. (D)
Day 2, SAMOSIR ISLAND
Breakfast at hotel. Tour today is to learn about Toba Batak culture, tour by boat for some inland visits to Ambarita village to see remnants from megalithic culture, Simanindo village for Toba Batak typical house and folk dance performed by the local. Also visit the tiny Tao Island for a short respite and swimming if you wish. Then, ride back to hotel for lunch. Afternoon is for visiting Tomok to see the ancient graveyard and sarcophagus of the king Sidabutar family. There will be times to browse local souvenir before returning to hotel. Overnight at hotel with dinner (B, L, D)
Day 3, SAMOSIR ISLAND/ PARAPAT/ BERASTAGI/ MEDAN
Morning after breakfast board on the boat and ride back to Parapat to further by land to Medan through the picturesque Berastagi town, is a pleasing drive across Karo Plateau with some stops en-route at Pematang Purba to see Ruma Bolon (the long house) which was belonged to Rayal families of the Simalungun Batak Tribe; Tongging Hill for amazing view of Lake Toba’s northern part, Sipiso-piso waterfall, Lingga or Peceran village to see the traditional houses of the Karo Batak Tribe and a glimpse of their way of life. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Berastagi. Enjoy also a visit to fruits and flowers market before continuing to Medan city/ Airport (B, L)
